Summary
For the department “Ground & Naval Solutions” we are looking for a “Team Leader / Solutions Architect Hardware (f/m/d)” at the Oberkochen site, Aalen branch, as soon as possible.
Our dedicated team consisting of Solution Architects works to design the overall technical solution for systems of all land and sea-based products of HENSOLDT Optronics GmbH and to provide first-class products and for our customers.

Your Tasks

  • Technical management and coordination of system engineers and hardware architects with a focus on complex mechatronic systems for naval and ground-based systems
  • Coordination and revision of customer requirements in relation to the mechatronic system and transfer into technical specifications for an overall system
  • Selection, coordination and specification of self-contained subsystems, which are taken over by the interdisciplinary teams or by external contractors
  • Supporting cost estimates for the preparation of offers in close cooperation with the interdisciplinary team
  • Creating presentations for customers and the business unit as well as participating in customer meetings in order to present and represent complex interrelationships of the overall system in an understandable way
  • Proactively developing solutions together with the system engineers of the interdisciplinary teams, taking costs, quality and time into account
  • Coordination with the business units regarding future system requirements, norms, standards and laws
  • Developing measures for the introduction of methodologies as well as regulatory and legal requirements in the interdisciplinary teams in collaboration with the “Engineering Services” department
  • Contributing and summarizing customer requirements to define a module-based sensor architecture in collaboration with the “Smart Sensors” and “Laser Applications” departments
  • Supporting the department in defining future specialist skills required in the interdisciplinary teams with a focus on hardware development

Your Profile

  • Degree in systems engineering, communications engineering, high-frequency engineering, electrical engineering or similar
  • Several years of experience in systems engineering of technically complex systems and products
  • Sound experience in handling developments with and for external partners
  • Experience in the technical management of agile teams in hardware development
  • Ideally experience in coordinating with international and intercultural customers
  • Very good knowledge of digital high-speed solutions and embedded systems
  • Very good knowledge of production technologies in the field of RF electronics
  • Knowledge of other technical disciplines such as software and optics and their interaction in products
  • Strong methodological skills in solution and decision making, ideally supported by Six Sigma training (Green Belt, Black Belt)
  • Very structured, self-organized, business-oriented way of thinking and working
  • Business fluent German and English skills
