Position Summary:

Manage, mentor and develop, within any of the following ambient and cold chain operational areas as identified in the Role of the Manager:

  • Packaging
  • Inventory
  • Despatch

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PC Literate

  • Good numeracy and literacy skills

  • Strong communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Good standard of English (verbal & written)
  • Good attention to detail

Although not essential, the following skills and experience would be advantageous:

  • Worked within a GMP environment
  • Worked within an operational environment
  • 5 x GCSE or equivalent experience/qualification (including English and Mathematics)
  • Competent in use of electronic and automated equipment
  • Management experience

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Activities to be carried out in accordance with statutory, regulatory and company policies and procedures
  • Maintain good housekeeping and promote a safe working environment
  • Highlight and address potential Health and Safety, Quality risks, near misses and accidents to Line Management
  • Maintain compliance through training and proficiency programmes
  • Focus on internal customers (Quality, Engineering, Business Planning, HR, IT, Facilities) and external customers (Clients, Regulatory Bodies, Contractors, Suppliers) priorities
  • Support internal Trackwise Investigations, by initiating and completion of investigations
  • Support department induction program
  • Lead a team focused on job and schedule accomplishment
  • Manage department coaching, development and training
  • Demonstrate Role Model Leadership competencies
  • Allocation and optimization of resource
  • Understanding of capacity and process demand and alignment against schedule
  • Maintain and improve process efficiencies to achieve business objectives
  • Understand, support and coach team in applying PPI/Lean tools for process improvement
  • Initiate and manage small teams to work on initiatives
  • Develop, maintain, trend and report Key Performance Indicators
  • Authority to sign off time sheets, raise Purchase Orders and administration of absence management
  • Undertake any other duties on an ad-hoc basis as required by your Line Manager
