Description:

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in an engineering role, specifically within a tool room environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to encourage and motivate a team.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and technical competence in mold repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to strictly adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience with long-term planning and project management.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive team setting.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate all activities associated with team members in the assigned area to ensure flawless execution of tasks.
  • Maintain efficiencies and measurable equipment through proven maintenance principles and practices, human resource planning, and flexibility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair molds, ensuring operational excellence.
  • Install, start up, and shut down equipment strictly adhering to company safety procedures for hot runner systems and tempering/annealing ovens.
  • Maintain meticulous maintenance and performance records for identified equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance functions to uphold world-class standards.
  • Support and educate colleagues and other technical level employees, encouraging a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Promote and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by implementing 5S activities and ensuring accurate material storage and waste disposal.
  • Engage in long-term planning for significant projects, equipment installations, and property improvements.
  • Define methods for measuring, controlling, and reducing downtime across all business units or TIERs.
  • Plan and measure overtime effectively for assigned areas.
  • Contact suppliers for quotations on repairs, spare parts, services, and new technologies or equipment replacement.
  • Participate in safety programs and area improvement initiatives across all business units.
  • Coordinate, evaluate, and develop career plans for staff under supervision to support their professional growth.
  • Manage scheduling and expense control for the maintenance area of the business units.
  • Adapt to change and implement maintenance plans for molds successfully.
  • Develop and implement daily mold repair plans based on established priorities.
