Description:

ABOUT YOU

  • A proven track record of hands-on exposure to gas utility assets in the field, either as part of a crew or, ideally, in a team leader role.
  • MR/HR licence and possessing an excavator licence is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Our Gas Networks & Services Team is elite, and we are looking for a motivated and capable Gas Team Leader to join our team at our depot in Thomastown . In this role, you will report to the Supervisor and lead a frontline gas maintenance crew. Your team will be tasked with delivering high-quality construction, fault response, and maintenance activities on gas mains and services throughout the gas distribution networks, primarily focusing on the Northern Suburbs of Victoria. As part of the EBA, you will receive competitive compensation, have monthly RDOs, and participate in a rotating standby roster for emergency response callouts.

Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the job-specific planning and execution of work orders.
  • Providing emergency response services during and after regular hours.
  • Oversee the performance of employees and contractors.
  • Proactively and visibly promote and drive a Zero Harm culture, guiding and coaching others.
  • Deliver planned and unplanned work, order materials and products required to complete allocated fieldwork, and control resources while on site.
