A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Team Leader Waste Education, you will help people keep their properties and the city of Wyndham clean, green and safe by accessing Council’s waste services and using other sustainable waste management practices.
You will lead a small team and contribute to the design of waste services and programs that improve resource recovery and the circular economy.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Develop, guide, implement, coordinate, and review community awareness and engagement about waste services
• Lead and supervise a team of staff, consultants and contractors to deliver the Waste Education Team’s Work Program
• Develop, monitor and update the team’s business or work plan
• Stay updated on relevant policy and legislation changes and grant opportunities and assist in the preparation of responses, submissions and applications
• Provide strategic and specialist input on the community’s and council’s needs around waste services, waste education and circular economy practices
