We are looking for an energetic and motivated team leader for our Intensive support services in Lower Hutt with our youth and young adults. You will lead a team in supporting our people to live as independently as possible whilst also providing a safe environment where they can develop confidence, build friendships, and interact within the community.
There will be a mixture of morning, afternoon, and evening shifts spanning across the week, so having the flexibility to support your team across a variety of shifts is a key part of this role.

A Team Leader assists people with disabilities to live as independently as possible, as well as leading and motivating their team. Your day will involve a range of responsibilities and could include:

  • Activities at home and in the community that are meaningful and purposeful to the youth, including maximizing independence and involving Whanau.
  • Household duties including meal preparation, daily care routines, and personal cares.
  • Working together with a team to implement personal support plans consistently, with effective and positive teamwork and communication.
  • Providing people with a warm and nurturing environment to live in, which is inclusive of ideas and feedback so that each person is supported towards their personal goals.
