The finance department at Vitec, listed on Nasdaq Stockholm, currently consists of 36 team members, placed in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland. Our task is to provide financial services to our subsidiaries, integrate acquired companies and handle group accounting and reporting. We are currently in the process of expanding Financial Services Finland and we need to strengthen the department with a Team manager to our office in Helsinki. You will, together with the existing team consisting of two employees, handle the accounting for some of our subsidiaries in Finland, and you will be responsible to lead and develop the team. For support you will have your manager in Sweden and three team manager colleagues in the Nordics.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Plan and lead the work within the team, including personnel responsibility
  • Participate in the development of Financial Services with the Nordic Vitec team
  • Represent the department to our internal customers, our subsidiaries in Finland
  • Be responsible for and coordinate the provided services of the department and operatively do the accounting and reporting for some of our Finnish subsidiaries. Operative services cover everything from general ledger accounting and reconciliations, accounts receivable and payable to monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing, controlling and reporting to the Group and VAT declarations and other statutory reports
  • Drive and support continuous improvement of financial routines and processes

We are looking for a colleague and manager who has

  • Master´s or Bacherlor´s degree in finance
  • Years of operating experience of accounting, preferably in a Group
  • Good competence in Finnish accounting and sufficient knowledge of Finnish tax rules
  • Experience of work in leadership or solid project management
  • Fluent Finnish, both in speech and writing, competence to understand and be understood in English because of Group reporting in English, competence and willingness to communicate in Swedish with the Nordic team
  • Good skills in Excel and a natural interest in numbers and accounting
  • Desire to understand and develop financial processes in ERP systems
