Description:

Pricing Service Manager - EMEA
The Pricing Service is responsible for providing timely and accurate end-of-day valuations on Sovereign and Corporate fixed income securities for London Stock Exchange customers, globally.
Pricing Service valuations are used by banks, asset managers, index managers, wealth managers, and auditors for client statements, research, risk analysis, performance metrics, and portfolio valuation. Pricing Service provides global evaluated prices on over 2.9MM securities and derivatives daily.
The manager role will offer a wide variety of challenges. This includes leading all operational aspects of the pricing and delivery of a large body of securities to client sensitive deadlines, leading a team of evaluators and analysts with guidance as to pricing accuracy, investigation and management of client issues.
There is a large technology upgrade in progress which the successful candidate will be heavily involved with, as well as understanding and implementing existing pricing infrastructure. The Pricing Service has a large amount of compliance oversight to be understood and maintained, to ensure that LSEG’s requirements in this field are satisfied.
The successful candidate will also have the ability to price a wide range of fixed income securities across the credit spectrum. The successful candidate will also become a subject matter specialist in all aspects of the pricing operation, delivering timely and accurate data with a team of outstanding individuals with a wide variety of talents.
A lot of teamwork & partnership is expected within the region, and globally, to ensure the Group delivers to all its customers high quality pricing data within strict timeframe windows.

About LSEG Pricing Service:
LSEG Pricing Service provides real time and validated end of day evaluated prices on over 2.9 million securities. Our staff consists of over 140 fixed income professionals in New York, London, Paris, Tokyo, Mumbai, Bangalore, Singapore, Lagunilla de Heredia, and Gdynia. Coverage includes sovereign debt, corporate & high yield debt, convertible securities, bank debt, mortgage-backed securities, asset-backed securities, municipal securities, derivatives, and structured notes.

Manager Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong skills/knowledge to determine the fair market value for portfolios of securities of medium complexity.
  • Be able to effectively communicate in all aspects of pricing with team to ensure high level of transparency & understanding. Demonstrate leadership skills to ensure effective operational performance.
  • Understand the full mechanics of pricing delivery processes across a variety of assets (government/corporate/money market assets), offer new ideas to improve existing processes.
  • Be able to respond quickly and accurately to a wide variety of time sensitive issues, both within EMEA and also other regions.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Maintain/expand a network of market contacts in corporate bond space to build on fixed income knowledge.
  • Leverage an internal network of peers to resolve operational or content issues in a timely manner.
  • Drive methodology/automation enhancement to improve coverage and pricing accuracy.
  • Promote continuous improvement through research, analysis and quality control.
  • Independent thinking to improve & enhance existing work environment.
  • Document work procedures and methodology enhancements.
  • Explain pricing methodologies to customers – at high level and also in granular detail

Requirements:

  • Experience in a market-focused fixed income environment (trading,risk management)
  • Experience in managing a team of analysts.
  • Strong fixed income mathematical/analytical skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of macroeconomic drivers
  • Good excel spreadsheet skills with the ability to handle large amounts of data
  • Strong written and verbal skills with historical record of direct customer interactions
  • Able to work independently, and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of coding eg Python desirable.
  • Ability to convey to customers pricing methodology/pricing rationale.
