We are looking for tech-savvy and brave people for our Network Management Espoo R&D team. In our project we utilize agile, lean and DevOps methods. Now we are looking for a team manager who has a passion to support, develop, coach and grow the team.
Your team’s key focus will be on large applications on virtualized/containerized software system. Applications are in the area of managing the system configurations, end to end solution including the user interface. The network management system itself is deployed world-wide to companies providing mobile services.
You will be a solid line manager for network management system application team members and responsible for handling people’s day-to-day topics. You will be ensuring that the team is operating according to Nokia Essentials, people strategy and culture.
You will be part of a team in which people are hungry in mind to learn more and excited about doing a variety of different kinds of tasks. The team has good co-operation and a great team spirit where everyone shares their knowledge and skills.
You will also be part of an international and multicultural environment. Your team is located in Espoo, where our headcount in Nokia is around 3050 people from 80 different countries. You will work closely with the rest of the unit teams that are in Tampere. Our team also works in co-operation with teams on many different sites and professionals worldwide.

You have :

• Experience of managing an SW development team
• Experience of defining a clear scope, setting targets and defining performance measures.
• Skills to ensure team members have the right abilities to secure current and future business needs.
• Experience of recruiting and onboarding
• Knowledge of large software system deployment
• Understanding of the relevance of automated deployment and testing (at different levels, automation, tools), software development tools
• Knowledge of DevOps, Jenkins, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery, Kubernetes or containerized applications
• Technical background with some understanding of sw development challenges (prior knowledge of Java, go is a big plus)
• Knowledge of RAN technologies
• You are excellent at communication and have experience of sharing and translating strategy and top-down internal messages.
• You have an interest in additional responsibilities if assigned to cross-unit management.
• You are fluent in English and you fit into our team.
• You are self-driven, and you take responsibility for your own work.
• You can tolerate uncertainty.
