About the role
This position qualifies for a market supplement payment of £200 per month. Please note this additional payment will be reviewed on 31 March 2025.

We are looking for a creative, dynamic, experienced Social Worker with extensive Managerial experience, who can bring positive and inspiring leadership as a Team Manager, to our Quality Assurance and Service Improvement Team in Social Care Services within Ceredigion County Council.
The Team Manager will lead a team which consists of Independent Safeguarding Officers (Independent Reviewing Officers as previously known) who chair and manage the statutory review processes in relation to children/young people who are being looked after and who also chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences and are responsible for developing good quality child protection plans in order to safeguard children and young people.
This Team Manager post holder will also be responsible for the line management of Quality Assurance and Contract Monitoring Officers whose role is to quality assure and monitor the quality of care that is being provided by all commissioned services across children and adults provision, which includes residential/nursing and domiciliary care provision.
Ceredigion County Council has developed a Through Age Well-Being Model across Children’s and adult services, ensuring that we are working to support the needs of the whole family, with the emphasis on early intervention and prevention and the Team Manager of the Quality Assurance team will need to work corroboratively and positively with managers across the model to ensure the continued cohesive development of this original and exciting way of working.
We are looking for someone with significant qualities of innovation and positivity who has the skills, ability, commitment, and creativity to lead a team to work creatively and collaboratively to achieve the highest possible standards of performance for children, adults and their families.
