Description:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • SWE recognised Social Work qualification and considerable post qualifying experience in a statutory social work setting.
  • HCPC Registered

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and processes

EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in team management and leadership roles

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to analyse data and identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise staff and resources within the team as part of the delivery of highquality services to children and families according to the aims, targets andobjectives of the service.
  • Ensure the team understands and adheres to the Quality AssuranceFramework, including ensuring that the relevant case audits are undertaken,and that continuous improvement is evidence based and includes learningfrom SCR’s and research to inform practice and decision making
  • Ensure effective assessment, risk management and child protection and careplanning protects the most vulnerable
  • Ensure that supervision is reflective, challenging andexplorative to enable informed decision making on cases that occur tosafeguard children and vulnerable adults, and is based upon best evidencefrom research to inform complex judgements, promoting professional curiosityand solution focused approaches to problem solving routinely within informaland formal supervision.
  • Develop effective partnership working that is positive and constructive andrespectful of differing roles and responsibilities and the value they can bring tosafeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Support team members bothinternally and externally with partners as part of sharing information anddeveloping safe multi-agency plans.
