Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

The Tech Analyst will be the go-to technical frontline member of the Tech Ops team that will be driving the efficient and final-fix for aircraft discrepancies that drive operational reliability.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in troubleshooting aircraft in transport category type aircraft.
  • At least 2 years in aircraft maintenance or avionics experience.
  • Advanced aircraft maintenance analytical and troubleshooting skills required.
  • Current FAA “Airframe and Powerplant” license or equivalent engineering experience.
  • Strong ability in the use of technical data such as wiring manuals, structural repair manuals and engineering repairs.
  • Strong communication and verbal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
  • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the US.

Preferred

  • Advanced Technical Degree

Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, telephones, photocopiers, facsimile machines and filing cabinets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical services in returning out-of-service aircraft to service which may include the identification of technical data and development of technical action plans.
  • Develop technical action plans to resolve all repetitive discrepancies on the aircraft as identified by Reliability Engineering. These action plans include required parts, tooling, and required technical data to ensure that the frontline AMT is set up for success for an efficient resolution of the repeat discrepancy.
  • Partner and collaborate with Maintenance controllers, Maintenance, Tech Services Engineering, Supply Chain, and Reliability Engineering in achieving superior reliability results for both PSA’s crews and customers.
  • Facilitate technical data exchange between OEM MHIRJ and PSA frontline personnel to resolve repetitive aircraft discrepancies.
  • Responsible for recovering AOS and resolve repeat discrepancies on aircraft as needed.
  • Develop analytics associated with determining final-fix effectiveness of the technical action plans developed to resolve repetitive issues.
  • Monitor fleet operations to drive revisions in Tech Data to ensure long-term corrective and memorialize “lesson learned” in order to achieve superior reliability results for both PSA’s crews and customers.
  • Provide 24/7 technical assistance to company personnel to increase the technical competency of the frontline AMT.
  • Responsible for the Company’s Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.
