We are looking for a Tech Lead Software Engineer to join our Fraud & Risk Management team within the Engineering & Operation function at Zooplus to bring new features to life and support the fraud prevention solutions’ move to modern agile and technical practices and architectures.
You will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Product Owner, Domain Architect, and your team members to clarify business needs and technical requirements and define how to best support them. In close collaboration with other teams, your team will introduce new features and improvements to provide a better experience for more than 9 million of our customers!
Job Description
As our Tech Lead Software Engineer:
- With your Team, Engineering Manager and Product Owner, you will be working in a challenging Agile environment in close collaboration with other teams;
- You will design and develop robust, high-performance applications for one of the most successful pet e-commerce platforms in Europe;
- You will co-lead with a Domain Architect architectural discussions and decision-making processes to ensure scalability and maintainability of applications;
You will identify and troubleshoot software issues, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner;You will establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies.

- Java 17+, Kotlin, Spring framework;
- Oracle DB, PostgreSQL;
- CI/CD with Jenkins pipeline;
- Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack;
- Kubernetes, docker;
- Amazon Web Services (S3, SNS, SQS, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.);
- Terraform and AWS CLI;
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in software development;
- Solid experience in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages, as well as Spring framework;
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases;
- Hands-on experience with DevOps tools and practices (container orchestration, CI, monitoring and alerting, AWS & Kubernetes);
- Passionate about writing clean, modular, testable code, designed with architectural principles in mind and proper use of design patterns;
- Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable, resilient and secure applications in a cloud environment;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Work experience in fraud and/or payment domains is a plus;
