Currently, we are seeking a Tech Lead Javascript Developer to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for:
Position Title: Tech Lead Javascript Developer
Location: Hybrid - Medellin, Colombia
What you will be doing:

We are looking for an experienced Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the technical direction, architecture, and development of web solutions. You will mentor a team of junior to senior developers, ensuring best practices are followed and delivering scalable, high-performance applications. As a strategic thinker and hands-on contributor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives. You will manage a squad day to day, from sprint planning to review, ensuring that every task is completed on time.

• Participate in architecture design and estimation of new projects.Review developers code as a gate keeper to ensure the code the team ship is secure, maintainable and scalable.
• Create new web applications and components.
• Lead sprint ceremonies.
• Work with multinational teams to accomplish tasks.

Expectations:

• Be available during working hours and communicate availability.
• Be available to participate in off-hours on-call rotation.
• Complete task on-time.
• Escalate issues and delays that cannot be resolved within the squad to the SVP of Technology.
• Find solutions to blockers raised by more junior developers in the team.
• Be able to suggest new technologies or tools to improve team efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Typescript, Node.js, React.js, SQL (any SQL technology, Microsoft SQL is a plus) and MongoDB.
• 6+ years of experience full stack or equivalent in back-end / front-end.
• 4+ years of experience leading a development team with a proven track record of delivering projects.
• 3+ year Experience with AWS (SQS, EC2, Fargate, Lambda, RDS).
• Ability to lead, inspire, and manage a team of developers effectively.
• Proven experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure architectures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong attention to detail and a head for problem solving.
• Capable of mentoring Junior developers.
• Fluent in English.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or 10+ years of experience including 5+ years of experience as a Technical Leader).
• C# and Visual Basic.
• Github Actions.
• Experience working with international teams.
• Worked on a high traffic system.
• Agile / SCRUM.

• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to work effectively across different time zones.
• Good arithmetic, reading, and typing skills.
• Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Be able to see, speak and hear.
