Description:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems and post-secondary teaching experience. Applicants who have completed Grade 12 and possess an equivalent combination of teaching and work experience in their area of expertise may be considered.
Minimum 5 years recent relevant experience.

In-depth knowledge required of:
- Components and peripherals
- Wireless networking
- Computer and internet security
- Scripting for network and system administrators
- Local area network (LAN) management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- An Instructor’s Diploma or valid BC Teacher’s Certificate appropriate to the instructional assignment.
- A degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems and post-secondary teaching experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide teaching and other educational services to participants registered in the program, including advice and instructional assistance as it pertains to course content.
- Ensure that participants understand and comply with the rules and policies governing the operations of Okanagan College as outlined in the OC Calendar.
- Monitor and evaluate participant progress in the course.
- Prepare and maintain course materials, course outlines, lesson plans, instructional aids, assignments, exams, and attendance records.
- Maintain and submit grade assignments, exams and grading sheets to the Program Administrator/Coordinator.
- Communicate with the Program Administrator/Coordinator on any issue related to student participation or course delivery.
- Perform other related duties as required.
