MERCEDES-BENZ STAR SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS & TRAITS:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business Engineering, Business Informatics, or a comparable discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Project Management, Technology, Business Development, Startups or Consulting; professional experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
- Proven experience in planning, executing, and monitoring projects within schedule and budget.
- Willingness and ability to identify and develop new technologies, business models, and market opportunities.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and German, both written and spoken.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of commitment and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:
The Mercedes-Benz Cars Purchasing & Supplier Quality (MP) division is responsible for procuring production materials and ensuring supplier quality for Mercedes-Benz AG, with an annual procurement volume in the double-digit billions. Innovation, top quality, and sustainability are critical success factors for MP, with innovation and top quality being core brand promises of Mercedes-Benz.
MP’s mission is to introduce innovations and top-quality standards into vehicles sustainably. This involves collaborating with around 1,500 innovative, high-performance, and flexible partners in the global supplier industry, as well as employing top talent responsible for supplying production materials to the global Mercedes-Benz Cars & Vans production network. MP’s locations across the globe—including in Germany, Austria, South Africa, China, India, the USA, Mexico, Argentina, and Canada—ensure seamless integration with production.
As a member of the MP department, you will play a vital role in procuring and ensuring the quality of production materials for a leading automotive company with an annual purchasing volume in the tens of billions. Your focus on innovation, top quality, and sustainability will directly contribute to the company’s brand promise and overall success.
