Technical Accountant Officer

A premier reinsurance firm based in Luxembourg, this company specializes in providing innovative risk management solutions and financial protection services. Under the direct supervision of the Technical Accountant Manager and the Chief Financial Officer the Technical Accounting Officer assists in all activities related to the reinsurance accounting and technical reporting. The Technical Accounting Officer will work in a commercial reinsurance company located in Luxembourg City. Managed by a team of 15 persons, the Reinsurance company is owned by an international banking group.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the underwriting officer, actuaries, and other team members to ensure the timely collection and correct interpretation of technical data related to the accounting of reinsurance treaties.
Work with business partners, including ceding companies and brokers, to ensure the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of data related to mutual contracts.
Contribute to the development of internal processes to enhance efficiency and control of sourced and processed technical data.
Ensure all technical data is accurately recorded in the accounting system.
Coordinate with external auditors for statutory audits and internal auditors for compliance audits.
Monitor re/insurance debtors and creditors, process claims, and ensure the timely collection of premiums in collaboration with the underwriting and risk departments.
Ensure technical receivables are collected on time and contribute to efficient cash management in collaboration with the finance department.
Identify and report any breaches to your supervisor.
