Salary: Up to £40,000 depending on experience
Location: New Mills, GL12 8JR (Global HQ)
Hybrid working: 3 days onsite, 2 days from home (4.5 day working week, half day Fridays)
Renishaw’s Machine Tools Product Division is a leading provider of high-quality metrology and precision measurement equipment used in the manufacturing industry. The division specialises in designing and manufacturing advanced measurement systems and software for machine tools and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines.
We’re seeking a Technical Administrator to play a pivotal role in coordinating complex design changes across multiple design teams in the division. Working in a busy environment, you’ll contribute on a wide range of engineering projects to ensure smooth change management processes are in place to effectively drive design change.

About the role

  • Co-ordinate and facilitate design changes across multiple engineering teams, using Renishaw’s engineering change management system to efficiently drive design change.
  • Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers to define the scope of design changes, identifying all affected parts, divisions and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all design changes are accurately documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments to communicate design change status and ensure seamless implementation of design changes.
  • Providing support to the engineering leads with preparing and presenting information required for change review board meetings.
  • Actively drive design changes to completion by assisting users with open tasks to ensure change is being actioned efficiently.
  • Identify and mitigate any potential risks associated with design changes.
  • Collate lessons learnt, providing suggestions to improve processes and performance within the division.

About you

  • Keen eye for attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept in organisation and multitasking to effectively track multiple open design changes.
  • Be a confident and comfortable communicator, engaging with stakeholders across the business.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Desirable to have acknowledge and understanding of engineering change management processes and assembly bill of materials structure.

Person Specification
As a Technical Administrator, you’ll be enthusiastic about supporting engineering teams with implementing design changes. You’ll be a confident communicator, able to collaborate with design teams based at manufacturing sites around the world and will demonstrate strong organisational skills.
