LEGACY STRATEGIES ARE LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED TECHNICAL ADVISOR TO WORK WITH OUR CONSTRUCTION CLIENT IN BIRMINGHAM!

Full Time | Permanent | Hybrid
Up to £36,340 per annum.
As Technical Advisor, you will provide crucial technical advice and administrative support to the Engineering and Environmental teams, helping coordinate operations, ensure efficient team meetings, and manage key systems such as MS Teams, SharePoint, and eB. The role facilitates effective communication and process management within the project, working closely with senior management to ensure high-quality delivery of technical and contractual services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Strong communication, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Excel) and an aptitude for learning systems such as eB, CEMAR, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with databases, ideally Assetwise/eB, and a good understanding of organisational structures.
  • Engineering-related qualification or equivalent experience to effectively address technical issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure with conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience in the Construction or Civil Engineering industry is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for senior managers, teams, and other stakeholders, providing advice on technical, contractual, and administrative processes.
  • Manage Requests for Information (RFI) and Departure responses, coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure timely and accurate responses.
  • Support senior engineers by drafting communication responses (e.g., CEMAR) and seeking approvals from relevant team members.
  • Coordinate and manage departmental team meetings, including preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Prepare and format briefing materials, presentations, and other documents for senior managers and the wider team.
  • Develop and maintain internal reporting systems, databases, and records to support the smooth operation of the team and project.
  • Manage and optimise the use of information systems (MS Teams, SharePoint) for efficient documentation and accessibility across the team.
  • Liaise with internal and external document control teams to resolve any issues related to information sharing across organisations.
  • Continuously provide administrative support to senior leaders, identifying improvements to enhance team performance.
