Technical and Research Manager

Job Description:

• Work closely with the Managing Director on product/service quality and development initiatives and activities.
• Act as a key technical coordinator for clients with product/application related issues and concerns for on-going and completed projects.
• In-charge of quality control in mixing/tinting paints and matching customized decorative finishes/textures.
• Coordinate and submit regular testing of decorative finishes/paints to address compliance and composition issues.
• Collaborate and work with architects and designers to understand their specifications and endorse the company’s products/services.
• Build and implement method statements for internal/external decorative finishes’ applications and maintenance.
• In-charge for due diligence studies on recent market trends for decorative paints/finishes both locally and overseas.
• Develop intuitive product/service strategies to improve the company’s presence in the market.
• Attend to ad hoc projects assigned by management.

Job Requirements:

• Prior technical experience in decorative paints/finishes industry.
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Engineering and related field.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated business planning ability, innovated thinking and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent in problem solving skills, analytical skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to paints/finishes/building materials industry.
