As a Technical Assistant Mechanical, you’ll be responsible for delivering rapid mechanical prototyping services to a diverse set of clients in Signify Innovation and Businesses.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• MTS Degree (Precision)Mechanics or equivalent, relevant work experience is a plus
• Hands-on experience in Mechanical domain (Milling, Turning, Drilling, Welding, Cutting, etc.)
• Team player with organizational and social skills;
• Experience with CAD mechanical software packages (e.g. Autocad Inventor, SolidWorks, Solid Edge)
• Aspiration and potential to lead the mechanical workspace in the nearby future
• Experience with material ordering and machine maintenance plans a plus

• Make parts and build prototypes in close cooperation with Research and Development engineers.
• Engage with the Research and Development engineers to help make the parts and tooling for the new products and developments
• Perform hands-on work with mechanical tools and equipment to enable rapid prototyping of models, mock-ups, tooling, etc
• Perform as a team player and support the team in applying a lean way of working to increase the agility and efficiency of the team
• Work with external suppliers in case we need capabilities or capacity that we do not have in-house
