Based at our Stratford campus in the newly formed Office of the Health Campus, our service supports the collaboration of UEL’s innovative research and teaching within the School of Health, Sport and Bioscience. ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking to appoint a Technical Assistant to contribute to the continued growth and success of the School of Health, Sport & Bioscience at the University of East London. You will work as a part of small team, performing operational tasks to support a range of academic activities in busy laboratories. The successful applicant will help senior technicians with the set up and clean up after student facing activities, prepare equipment and materials, and participate in the routine maintenance of laboratory facilities, equipment, and stocks.
About You
You will have a minimum of a BTEC/HNC or HND, with a keen and demonstrable interest in Human physiology and a commitment to a career as a technician. Additionally, you must be able to demonstrate that you have current knowledge and experience of working with laboratory equipment and reagents. You will also have good organisational skills with the ability to complete a task effectively and efficiently.
You will have good organisation and communication skills, commitment to customer service, be a good team player, willing to work flexibly to changing timetables and work patterns and have a drive for excellence in everything that you do.
