The Opportunity
Embark on an exciting journey as a key player in launching our groundbreaking division focused on driving the growth of Agua projects and business expansion in Australia! Are you driven by the prospect of shaping the future of sustainable water infrastructure and making a substantial impact? Here’s your chance to lead the charge as a technically adept Business Development Manager.
Take the helm in Australia, applying a comprehensive background in civil engineering projects to oversee Expression of Interest, Tenders, and overall Project Management, and be at the forefront of pioneering advancements in water infrastructure. Key responsibilities:

  • Implementing business development strategies, identifying emerging opportunities, and nurturing new and existing client relationships.
  • Reviewing and providing guidance on construction methods, materials and appropriate standards to deliver on commercially viable and durable projects.
  • Drive the implementation of a robust commercial strategy to diversify our project portfolio in Australia, seizing emerging opportunities and cultivating new client relationships.
  • Lead the execution of a growth plan for ACCIONA Agua, ensuring substantial expansion over the next two years while laying the groundwork for sustained medium to long-term success.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new avenues for business development, including municipal, industrial, and renewable sectors, spanning greenfield and brownfield projects, acquisitions, and joint ventures, aligning with our growth targets and market strategies.
  • Provide valuable insights by analyzing economic, regulatory, sustainable, and demographic factors impacting our business, informing strategic decision-making and maximizing opportunities.
  • Spearhead commercial negotiations in collaboration with our teams in Australia and Spain, fostering the development of a robust project portfolio and driving business growth

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in a similar role within a large matrix organization, specifically in the water infrastructure sector.
  • Relationship Builder: Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, fostering strong client partnerships.
  • Technical Understanding: Degree qualification in engineering (preferably Civil)
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel across Australia to secure key opportunities.
  • Bonus: Foreign language skills are highly valued for global collaboration.
