Description:

Target hiring pay range: Min-point: 461,984 / Mid-point: $77,480 / Max-point: $92,976

Title: Technical Business Analyst
Position Status – Full-time Exempt
Reports To: AVP of IS Program Management
Purpose: The primary purpose of this position is to assist Atlanta Postal Credit Union (APCU) to live out our Mission, “To help our members achieve financial success by providing exceptional products and service.”
The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for interacting with internal business units and external software providers to ensure seamless integration and communication between their platforms and our core banking system, Symitar.

  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders, internal business units, and external software vendors to gather and analyze system functionality data.
  • Provides confirmation and clarification of the capacity of external platforms to integrate and effectively communicate with Symitar.
  • Defines and documents the flow of information between systems, including automation protocols using PowerOn, and functionality under Symitar.
  • Defines technical aspects of programs, and applications including process setup and parameter definitions.
  • Develops detailed mapping of querying, extraction, reporting capabilities, and application-based report writing tools; Defines program specifications that meet user needs.
  • Serves as PMO project team member and/or project coordinator for in-house development, improvements or enhancements to existing applications, or implementation of applications provided by external software vendors.
  • Performs evaluation and testing of new releases, patches, and regulatory compliance updates.
  • As required, provides documentation needed to communicate system changes or updates to users.
  • Documents all work according to department defined standards.
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of project management principles.
  • Effectively uses written and oral communication skills in daily correspondence and completion of tasks.
  • Exhibits strong analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex problems and issues.
  • Executes multiple complex projects within scope and timelines.
  • Comply with all aspects of BSA/AML and OFAC regulations as they relate to this position.
  • Occasional travel up to 10%; Occasional night or weekend work hours.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports. Achieves established objectives and results through communications with internal and external stakeholders, managers, and members.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • An associate’s degree in computer science or related field. Two years additional specific work experience in lieu of degree
  • 4 years specific work experience in application and core system(s) support
  • Strong working knowledge of Symitar
  • Knowledge of application integration and application dependency mapping

PREFFERED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • 4 years of specific Symitar administration and integration work experience within a Credit Union
  • Other relevant certifications

PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines such as calculator, computer, printer, facsimile, telephone, copier, etc. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop as needed. Must be able to lift and/or carry weights of 5 to 20 pounds.
