JOB DESCRIPTION
U.S. Bank is seeking a Technical Communications Consultant with strong analysis experience and technical acumen experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives. Provides technical communication guidance, services, and support to information delivery solutions, knowledge management systems, and communication strategies. Provides complex communication services; writing, editing, analysis, and planning. Reviews, analyzes, edits, and enhances existing business and technical documentation (i.e., statistical model development documents, monitoring reports and plans, etc.), and other communications for effectiveness, clarity, and accuracy. Offers expert analysis and communication services to process improvement and change initiatives. Knowledgeable of regulatory standards, industry best practices and standards, and helps to ensure high quality in deliverables. Provides analysis to requirements gathering and project planning. Provides leadership and project management to complex technical communications and other projects. Possesses and applies a basic understanding of clients’ business(es). With minimal supervision, interfaces with all levels of personnel, including senior stakeholders, business line leaders, and technical subject-matter experts. Mentors less experienced communicators. Provides design consultation, implementation support, and content management services to documentation repositories and knowledge management systems. Consults on and participates in conversion of existing documentation to alternative delivery media. Designs and implements communication solutions to meet/exceed clients’ information delivery needs, including website design and development.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 5 years experience with technical communication guidance, services, and support to information delivery solutions, knowledge management systems, and communication strategies.
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Working experience in: IT standards, procedures, policy, IT environment, business assessment, repository tools content management
- Extensive experience in: requirements analysis, technical writing/documentation, document management, MS Excel, Word and Adobe Acrobat.
