Whilst a vital and differentiated service for the client, there is also the opportunity to earn significant revenue for GB Retail as many policies specifically include ‘Claims Preparation’ clauses that extend to fund the cost of specialist consulting services that we provide.
As the forensic accountant, you will typically work as part of a team, fronted by a lead Claims Consultant who will have overall responsibility for the delivery of the best outcomes for the client. Whilst handling a typical loss, you will analyse data and trends, working with the client to obtain all of the necessary supporting information required by the insurers representatives and will present the claim in the best possible way to secure a fair claims settlement in accordance with the policy coverage available.
You will establish and manage the claim with clear terms of reference for the delivery of forensic accounting services. You will be advised of major losses from within various industry practices and regional business units, you will work with other members of the Major loss practice, the Loss Management team and client service team to introduce the proposition and secure the appointment from the client to prepare and present their claim to insurers and in doing so, you will manage the communication channels with insurers, Loss Adjusters, insurer appointed forensic accountants and all other key stakeholders.
You will advocate for the client, providing technical advice and guidance, where this is within your area of expertise. However, you will also be responsible for offering and facilitating the introduction of services from the wider WTW business.
Provide technical advice and guidance as required across the business.
Facilitate or deliver technical training courses, client academies, bulletins and any other learning activities as needed by the business and designated by the Head of Claims or Technical Claims Director.
