A Day in the Life

Provide detailed technical support for Cardiovascular implantable electronic devices (CIED) and procedures to a wide range of clinical base including physicians, nurses, technicians and operating room personnel. Deliver clinical sales messaging and technical education of the product portfolio as a part of Finnish field team.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Provide clinical and technical support as well as education to Medtronic customers in the area of CIED technology in dedicated territory, Northern Finland
  • Support case coverage and deliver clinical sales messaging with the team in whole Finland
  • Educate and provide information regarding clinical trial status as well as the ongoing implant results
  • Support country sales strategy by working with manager to achieve business plans
  • Provide on-call support and troubleshooting during off hours as needed
  • Support all activities including but not limited to; training, PO collection, inventory management

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Health care or suitable technical degree and convincing clinical, operational or interventional/cath lab experience
  • Live in Northern Region, preferably in Oulu, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job
  • Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and cardiac procedures in Finnish and in English
  • Excellent customer service skills and true “how can I help you”- mindset
  • Ability to travel domestically over 70% by car, plane or other forms of transportation and overnight 2-3 nights per week away from home. Ability to conduct company business outside of the typical Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm, work-schedule preferred
  • Lifting/carrying implant cases daily and sit/stand walk for 6-8 hours day
  • Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) have the ability to work in Cath Labs and carry lead protection daily
  • High willingness to teach/educate/train/develop
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to build and maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organizational levels
  • Ability to coordinate numerous tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines
  • Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position
  • Driver´s license
