Description:

Supports customers on technical inquiries related to complex Rx orders and product needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers calls related to technical inquiries
  • Explores the needs & priorities of customers by asking open-ended questions.
  • Is attentive to details and asks follow-up questions for clarity.
  • Shows urgency in providing service to customers & satisfying their needs.
  • Acts as a leader in optical acumen that provides a voice for associates.
  • Provides excellent technical consultation and helps to retain our customer base.
  • Assists the team with difficult or complex areas of product needs & orders
  • Anticipates problems; explores underlying reasons for customer issues; strives to develop long-term solutions to problems & ensure customers are satisfied & expectations are exceeded. Acts quickly for resolution. Partners with management, as necessary.
  • Commits to delivery date & time, seeks feedback.
  • Takes and records measurements, adjusts or fits eyewear correctly, is thorough and exact in detail and ensures finished eyewear meets standards and employee requirements.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed, such as being in the queue to answer general customer calls and perform final inspections.
  • Experience and Education Requirements:•Registered Optician with a minimum of five years of dispensing experience
  • Required to maintain the Optician license. Extensive product knowledge
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • High degree of customer orientation and customer service attitude.
  • Excellent service skills such as politeness, confidence, tact, patience, and diplomacy
  • Good communication (verbal and written), presentation and motivational skills
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and administration of order entry and phone systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environment.
  • Possesses the ability to multi-task, prioritize & manage time with competing priorities.
  • Possesses a “can do” spirit & strong drive for results, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning & improvement.
  • Professional demeanor•Performs work accurately & thoroughly utilizing all technology despite time pressure & customer volume.
  • Demonstrates superior product knowledge; takes the initiative to accurately describe the features & benefits of various lenses
  • Working Conditions and Special Demands
  • You should be able to work a flexible shift from 9.30 am to 7 pm. Accountable for providing solutions for our customers on complex orders and product needs.
