Serco are proud to support the AESAS (Air Engineering Support & Airfield Services) at Royal Navy Air Station Culdrose, that delivers services ranging from the repair and maintenance of Military aircraft- and off-aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy’s two principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.
Serco have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Coordinator to join our current Operational Support Team (OST) based onsite at RNAS Culdrose, in Helston. The key purpose of this role is to carry out administrative activities in support of tasks to deliver the operational capability for the Merlin Helicopter Force (MHF) OST. Our Technical Administrator will liaise with MHF OST Lead and advise on issues that could immediately affect airworthiness, whilst ensuring that all aircraft documentation is to the required standard and complies with current engineering policy.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Providing AEO Writers functions and Data Integrity (DI) checks on transfer of aircraft/components as per the JAP(D) 100A-0409-2 to include:
Various GOLDesp reports as dictated by the SoW or aircraft work package
Post package data gathering for Continuous Airworthiness Management
Meeting (CAMM) scheduled maintenance review and Delivery team (DT) Working Groups as directed

Responsibilities:

Draft, submit and follow-up Mod Forms 760 (Fault Reporting) and 765 (Unsatisfactory Feature reports)
Draft and submission of Topic 2N Policy Leaflet 109 (Configuration Management)
Draft Component Change Proformas (CCP) iaw extant Policies
Draft, submit and follow-up Topic 2N Policy Leaflet 103 (Technical Query) to progress the aircraft Statement of Work (SoW)
Draft and submit Quality Occurrence Reports (QORs) resulting from major airworthiness findings
Monitoring the Serco element of the STARS authorisations database and administering the OST Team authorisation pack informing the OST Lead as personnel approach the end of their competency validity
Demanding, conditioning, monitoring and return of all aircraft spares/stores to support the aircraft SoW and emergent work
To input safety occurrences into the appropriate Flight Safety medium, including Aviation
Safety Information Management System (ASIMS) and passed to the OST Lead for updating Serco ASSURE
To be able to conduct Fitter Competency checks in accordance with BrD767 as directed by the OST Lead
To conduct Quality Assurance 1st Party Audits as directed by the OST Lead and OST Quality Systems Coordinator (QSC)
What you’ll need to do the role
Must have 3 years’ experience in military/industry airworthiness environment equivalent.
Experience authorized as an Aircraft Documentation Coordinator.
To be suitably qualified to be authorised to Level D i.a.w BRd 767.
To have completed a GOLDEsp Supervisor level as a minimum.
Completed a Maintenance Human Factors Course.
An understanding and proven experience of Airworthiness Engineering Safety and Compliance iaw Regulatory and Legislative requirements (MAA and MAOS).
A good capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs.
