Description:
As Our Delivery Lead - Platforms, you’ll be joining Technology team and working closely with our digital product teams and third-party suppliers, and you’ll act as the bridge between the business and technology.
Reporting to the Head of Product Delivery, your main focus will be managing the technical delivery of key strategic initiatives. You’ll be the go-to person for ensuring that our technical delivery is aligned with our business strategy and that everything runs smoothly from start to finish. You’ll work closely with Product Owners and senior management teams from different areas of the business, providing technical input, design guidance, and supporting the development of plans that align with our technology roadmap, and ensuring our technical delivery function operates as efficiently as possible.
You’ll also play a vital role in implementing and supporting our agile development methodology, making sure key ceremonies are conducted and that our processes continually improve. You’ll be accountable for the successful development of technical solutions, ensuring that all milestones are met and quality standards are achieved within the planned budget and timeframe, managing changes to scope, timelines, and costs, and working closely with the Business/Portfolio Programme team to keep everything on track.
You’ll also be responsible for reporting the status of development activities to relevant steering groups and managing solution delivery teams—both third-party and in-house—to ensure the software solutions meet agreed standards, and a big part of your role will be prioritising DevOps and automation in all aspects of technical delivery, using these tools to boost our efficiency and quality across all software developments and releases.
