Description:
The role: Reporting to the Program Director, you will be responsible for leading the technical planning, design, and development of highly complex security architectures and end-end architectural alignment for the Cyber Security Program.
You will have experience and knowledge in architecting, designing, and building enterprise security systems with experience in most of the following:
- Windows, Unix and Linux with physical and virtual server environments
- Security governance and policy
- Business driven security design
- Security controls such as access control, encryption management, firewalls, certificate/key lifecycles, authentication technologies such as Microsoft EntraID, and Cloud landing zones in relation to Azure and AWS
- Testing Frameworks and Reporting Tools such as Splunk
- Industry frameworks such as SABSA, NIST, ISO 27001, ISO 27003 and Essential Eight strategies
- Patching and Vulnerability Management Systems
- Risk mitigation, Cloud and Network Security, Zero Trust and Segmentation, Perimeter Security, Threat Intelligence and API Management and architectural methodologies to Prevent, Detect and Protect solutions
Responsibilities:
- Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with QPS values as outlined above.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
- Oversee and lead the design and implementation of cyber security and cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with best practice IM/ICT design and delivery frameworks.
- Specify and design large or complex systems and selects appropriate design standards, methods, and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures, and ensures effective application.
- Lead and manage the development and implementation of state-wide Cyber Security strategy and drive security maturity.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge of technical specialists and be responsible for the provision of expert advice regarding their application.
- Oversee and lead the assessment, analysis, development, publication, implementation and compliance of all program/project(s) deliverables and related standards and procedures at an enterprise level.
- Lead and manage the assessment, analysis, development, documentation, and implementation planning of large complex IM/ICT changes, including the evaluation of risks to the integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations.
- Oversee and manage a team of specialist technical resources.
- Follow defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high-quality, safe, services and workplaces.
