About This Opportunity
Lloyds Banking Group is committed to help Britain prosper and become the best bank for customers. Our aim is to build a forward-thinking capability that supports the business in delivering high quality, efficient and positive impact outcomes for customers. Our Technical Delivery Managers ensure the products we deliver are fit for purpose and meet the quality and standards that our customers expect and that they are delivered and integrated seamlessly and safely into the bank’s ecosystem.
This role is within the Shared Services Lab which supports components of the IP&I Accumulation Platform. You’ll be supporting the Lab, working collaboratively with Product Owners, Engineers, and other team members ensuring that the change is delivered safely to achieve great customer outcomes. Engaging with a broad team you’ll help manage the modernisation and rationalization of a legacy estate as well as introducing brand new capability for our teams and customers.

The purpose of the Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) is to provide effective coordination and integration of delivery of technical components that requires cross-cutting engagement across multiple Labs within LBG and third parties. You’ll lead your delivery team/s to ensure the fundamentals of Change Management excellence are achieved. This includes analysis, governance, planning to manage finances and delivering value. As a TDM of the future you’ll role model a desire to develop your skills and experience, create space to learn and collaborate, demonstrate resilience and adaptability.
You’ll understand, embrace and be able to select with confidence the most appropriate tools and methods to deliver change and lead teams through this. You should strive to build relationships across role communities, change teams and business areas to maximise opportunities for continuous improvement through shared learnings.
Your accountabilities will include;
- Using technical expertise to develop the sequence for technical integration related tasks in collaboration with Engineering Leads and that they’re aligned to the Lab backlog.
- Cataloguing and leading technology dependencies between the lab and other teams, making sure these are well understood.
- Coordinating the integration process and / or implementation events across shared infrastructure (e.g. upgrading infrastructure); leading on the SI process, coordinating parties to get the change over the line.
- Working with partners outside of the lab to ensure interlock to enable delivery at pace, including how to consume infrastructure components provided by other platforms or (within Enabling Platforms) how to make the products delivered by the Labs consumable in a self-served manner.
- Identifying blockers to delivery by proactively monitoring, trouble shooting and diagnosing technical issues; raising to product owner(s)/lab leadership where required.
- Acting as interface between the supplier (3rd Party) and key business partners, supporting the management of delivery of underperformance for at least 1 Silver Level supplier relationships / business critical programmes.
- Running complex and high-risk implementations requiring integration between multiple parties (internal/external) to ensure safe delivery.
- Providing expertise (not content) for governance activity owned by the Product Owner, e.g. PRIA, for change across multiple labs.
- Enabling the delivery of technology risk and control improvements.
What You’ll Need
- Proven change delivery skills, able to plan, track and lead complex IT change across large organisations including the associated governance through the delivery lifecycle.
- The ability to manage RAID items through the project lifecycle ensuring great outcomes for customers and the business are delivered in the expected timescales and to budget.
- A detailed understanding of the Agile tools available to feature teams and how best these can be used to optimise the delivery with demonstrable experience of doing this in day-to-day delivery management.
- A strong technology background being able to demonstrate an understanding of the differing levels and phases of IT change and technology principles.
- A confirmed ability to manage partners and peers including senior collaborators at director level coupled with the ability to clearly articulate updates, issues, and risks.

We’re disability confident. So, if you’d like reasonable adjustments to be made to our recruitment processes, just let us know.
We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:
