WHAT IS THE ROLE?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Technical Design Lead to join the Space4 Team. This role reports into the Operations Director.
The purpose of the role is to co-ordinate and convert Architects and Engineers information, into timber frame fabrication and assembly drawings (creating data compatible with the Space4 production facility, and drawings for site assembly purposes). As well as the panel data for the automated wall lines, CAD Technicians also generate fabrication drawings for off line ‘job-shop’ / spandrel panels, floor cassette drawings, joist layouts, cutting lists (plus any other details necessary for non-standard components e.g. steel beam fabrication drawings)
To assist the PE with controlling the Space4 internal design process, initially by reviewing site specific architectural information, identifying new / variant and repeating house types, and allocating an appropriate product code, during the design process they are involved in rationalising the information supplied by Space4’s structural engineers, and reporting any design changes, that may have cost implications, back to the commercial department.
