Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re excited to build the Networks team in Australia to support the energy transition locally, and globally. We are seeking High Voltage Substation Design Managers to establish and foster long-term positive client relationships with our Australian and broader APNA energy clients, with a focus on Transmission and Distribution (T&D) projects. The role can be based in Adelaide, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
The focus of your role will be to provide T&D services to our Networks, Renewables, Hydro, Mining & Industry, and Energy Advisory market sectors. You will be involved in a range of delivery functions including Owners Engineer, Concept Design and FEED, working collaboratively with our leaders to bring the right mix of resources to deliver excellence for our clients. As a senior member of the team, you will have focused on improving project outcomes for both your clients and our projects. You will have the opportunity to:
- Provide specialist technical input to a diverse range of projects in line with Mott MacDonald’s quality system and client requirements.
- Liaise with, and support (and lead, as required) Mott MacDonald global Energy teams and initiatives i.e., power system planning, grid compliance, asset modelling and commissioning compliance studies.
- Development of design management plans, master document registers and document control plans as a multi-disciplinary design manager.
- Manage multi-disciplinary technical teams to originate, review and approve T&D designs.
- Provide thought leadership and act as our ambassador in the market, prepare materials for and attend industry events, and engage with our clients to share our collective experience and be proactive in developing and promoting business improvement opportunities to clients.
