Description:
Lindum Group is a family run business operating as a successful construction company since 1956. We provide a range of construction services from new build, refurbishment, and maintenance projects to construction-related services such as plant hire, security, roofing, and waste recycling. We currently have over 610 direct employees on our sites, in our workshops and company offices in Lincoln, Peterborough and York.
We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Engineer to join our IT team of 7 based at our Head office in Lincoln ( LN6). Our team provide 1st class support to all staff across the 3 sites.
Reporting directly to the Group IT Projects Manager, your primary function will be to provide 3rd line support as part of a team of existing experienced engineers to assist with the company’s IT Solutions.
You will investigate a broad range of technical issues across all areas of the business, providing fixes, escalating where necessary.
A key focus will be on supporting, implementation of IT solutions and ensuring the management of a project is carried out in the correct manner. Good communication skills are essential as you will be providing progress on day to day issues and new solutions being implemented.
System security is paramount at Lindum Group so a proactive approach is required to ensure you are keeping up to date with Cyber Security and utilising solutions to assist in keeping the business secure.
This is a busy role where you will be require to adapt and engage with your peers in the team to ensure cover is provided to support the team when necessary. You will have the ability to remain calm under pressure whilst ensuring a professional and courteous manner is maintained at all times.
Experience in the following is required:
- Citrix
- VM Ware
- Application and user personalisation
- MS Office 365
Experience within the Construction industry would be advantageous but not essential
The position is permanent and full time.
