ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Technical Estates Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the financial transactions and reporting related to the Council’s property portfolio. Your expertise will help ensure that we meet our financial and operational targets, providing high-quality advice and support across various property management activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Financial Management: Oversee all core financial transactions and reporting routines associated with the Council’s property portfolio, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Liaison and Communication: Collaborate with third parties and agency bodies regarding transactions and provide routine and ad-hoc financial and performance information.
- System Proficiency: Utilize the financial system Agresso with a high level of proficiency, training and developing other users in its functionality.
- Autonomous Work: Operate with minimal supervision, aligning your actions with the Council’s corporate values.
- Service Delivery: Assist in delivering timely and budget-conscious results, adopting innovative and effective methods to achieve success.
- Property Inspections: Conduct inspections and measurements of properties, ensuring they meet the Council’s requirements and coordinating with the Commercial Estate team as needed.
- Data Management: Gather, collate, evaluate, and present statistics and information on the financial and functional performance of properties under the team’s care.
- Town Planning Applications: Support the preparation, submission, and pursuit of planning applications for property development and improvement.
- Financial Transactions: Ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders, invoices, virements, journals, and other financial transactions.
- Conflict Resolution: Advise the Senior Estates Surveyor of potential conflicts in objectives and present viable options for resolution.
