Your Role: As a Technical Lead, you will take responsibility for specialist and complex calibration and repair operations while ensuring full compliance with UKAS standards and contractual KPIs. You will also play a key role in process improvements, problem-solving, and mentoring colleagues to enhance overall team capabilities.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-precision calibration of measuring instrumentation to National UKAS standards.
- Lead and coordinate technicians and engineers (non-supervisory role).
- Analyze and solve complex technical issues where precedent may not exist.
- Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain and service calibration instrumentation, equipment, and facilities.
- Produce, review, and audit manual and automated calibration procedures.
- Ensure compliance with BS EN ISO/IEC 17025 and company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and certification documentation.
- Provide technical support and mentoring to colleagues.
- Participate in internal and external audits and interlaboratory measurement comparisons.
- Perform additional tasks aligned with your expertise and training as required.
