What you will do:
Technical Lead
Hybrid work environment 3 days per week from the Cineplex corporate headquarters at 1303 Yonge Street, Toronto (Yonge and St. Clair).
The Technical Lead for Enterprise Products will be responsible for providing overall technical leadership on development and delivery of Central Apps, Finance, and HR platforms.
They will work in collaboration with their team in the department, as well as multiple teams across the organization, while developing new capabilities and optimizing the existing experience across all platforms.
The Technical Lead has deep expertise and experience in software development life-cycle and quality engineering, and will provide team leadership to influence in the areas software engineering using agile methodologies, implementing secure quality code, highly available integrations and employing development standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of Central, Finance & HR systems; collaborate with third-party vendors to manage execution of development where required
  • Asses, and analyze the current & new platform implementation, deployment, integrations, security and propose improvements & participate in platforms technical roadmap
  • Contribute and receive feedback during the development life cycle to improve the platforms
  • Participate in the solution integration testing, quality assurance, load testing, security testing, debugging and root cause analysis

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

Experience:

  • 5+ years experience in designing & developing large scale software solutions with C# .Net
  • 5+ years experience in the development and maintenance of applications
  • 2+ years of leading system integrations
  • Experience in integration with third party APIs (via REST calls, using oAuth, etc…)
  • Experience in implementing role-based authentication/authorization (SSO) using SAML 2, and OAuth 2
  • 5+ years experience with .NET MVC, .NET Framework using C#
  • 2+ experience with ReactJS, HTML / CSS / SASS
  • 1+ years experience with Azure Cloud (or similar) and CI/CD Pipelines
  • Experience with SQL Server, SQL Stored Procedures
  • Experience with Integrations & Integrations Patterns
  • Experience in software design patterns
  • Experience with accessibility compliance and web application performance testing
  • Experience working within Agile development teams
  • Experience with agile software development tools (e.g., DevOps, Jira, etc.)
  • Experience with HATEOS, and GraphQL
  • Experience with Workday, Workbrain, PeopleSoft, or Salesforce

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively lead and influence team members.
  • Adaptable developer who is willing and able to take on and learn multiple technologies.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Strong understanding of web-based software architectures and technologies
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude
  • Able to work collaboratively with other team members
