MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2.1. Specialty
Knowledge of VoC Expertise process related to government programs.
2.2. Education Degree
Higher education Certificate (With Science) or degree level in Engineering or standards
Background
2.4. Technical knowledge
PC skills
Basic knowledge about product conformity assessments
Knowledge of types of discrepancies (detected during document review, inspection and/or testing)
Master review of conformity documents
English proficiency
Communication skills
Cargo Inspection procedure
Knowledge about product conformity assessment procedures
2.5. Experience
At least one year in job related experience

RESPONSIBILITIES / AUTHORITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

3.1. Primary Functions

• Distribution and delegation of responsibility to each staff member in Product Certification team
• Provide Technical support to staff & monitoring of assigned duties.
• Implementing conformity assessment schemes and support all processes associated with the various conformity programs, based on related schemes/Standards.
• Approving on Conformity Procedures
• Approving Application Review, Technical Evaluation, Review of the technical officer and taking Decision on Certification.
• To verify conformity documents of the files allocated to him/her, as per the applicable standards, applicable certification scheme, related VoC procedures and country regulations.
• Checking of inspection reports for the files allocated to him/her, mainly for VoC Technical aspects & report inspector’s performance with regards to quality and accuracy.
• Authorized to manage product certification process requirements of relevant Certification schemes.
• Review the evaluation report and provide the decision on certification.
• Acquisition and maintenance of a good knowledge of the VoC market & relevant certification schemes.
• Contribution to the good co-ordination between BV technical services and the customers, study of authority’s requirements and standards.
• Provide training to staff as and when a need arises.
• Reporting of discrepancies and difficulties met in reaching quality goals / time schedules to N+1.
• Ensure compliance with international and local statutory, industrial and legal requirements and Group guidelines, including Ethics, Technical, Quality and Risk management..

• Initiating the quality team for the need of update in the technical controlled documents.Support in creating and maintaining the Technical Review Checklists.

3.5. QHSSE Responsibilities

• Implementing BV safety programs within the team
• Comply at all times with all applicable legal requirements, BV HSE
• Policies, procedures and practices.
• Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/HSE Representative
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
• Report immediately to HSE Representative any HSE incident and cooperate in investigating Reporting all incidents and taking action whenever they see an unsafe act or condition
• Take care of your own health and safety and that of people who may be affected by what you do (or do not do).
• Co-operate with others on health and safety, and not interfere with, or misuse, anything provided for your health, safety or welfare
