Responsibilities:

THE ROLE:

In this role you will report to Head of Pre-Construction. You will manage the compilation of Technical Due Diligence assessments for large-scale ground mounted Solar PV, BESS (Battery Energy Storage System), and Co-located projects, by third party consultants, ensuring they are accurate, of a high quality and delivered on time.
You will advise and support the Elgin Transactions team in relation to the technical considerations for the purchase of early, mid, and late-stage development projects.
The role also includes management of project specific technical requirements which are required to progress projects to construction stage.
This is a newly created senior role which has been created as a direct result of our continued growth and diversification of our service offerings. It is an excellent opportunity to manage the technical requirements for projects at various stages of the development lifecycle across a number of jurisdictions.
The role will involve travel.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Managing the compilation of Technical Due Diligence assessments for a large portfolio of Solar PV, BESS, and Co-located projects across several jurisdictions. This will involve liaising with and managing external Technical Advisors It will also involve liaising with the Elgin Transactions, Operations, Development, Grid, Construction, Asset Management, and Legal teams.
  • Obtaining the required permits and licences from statutory bodies for cable connections and other technical items.
  • Obtaining topographical, geotechnical, and other surveys as required for the pre-construction phase.
  • Advising and supporting the Elgin Transactions team in relation to the technical considerations for the purchase of early, mid, and late-stage development Solar, BESS and Co-located projects.
  • Providing other technical advice and support as required to the Elgin Transactions, Operations, Development, Grid, Construction, Asset Management, and Legal teams.
  • Identifying potential savings and technical opportunities, particularly in relation to optimising cable routes.
  • Keeping up to date with technical requirements and policies across various jurisdictions.
  • Supporting the Head of Pre-Construction in all areas of the business.
  • Site visits as required
