Technical Manager, Honkalahti sawmill
We are looking for an experienced technical leader who can continue to drive Honkalahti sawmill’s future journey. As a Technical Manager you will manage all maintenance and technic relevant topics in a way to secure sustained cost-efficient maintenance of all assets, improve technical performance and manage or support investment projects to reach secure cost leadership.
The position is permanent, and you will be working in our Wood Products division.

Your main responsibilities as a Technical Manager include:
- To ensure safe, diverse and inclusive working environment as well as driving performance within the maintenance team and responsibility area
- To sustain cost-efficient maintenance of all assets in budget and develop proactive preventive maintenance
- To take care of the availability of spare parts and equipment and that their availability is economically optimized in accordance with the set targets
- Supporting to develop further component standards, common processes and guidelines
- Developing or supporting new project ideas/concepts to get attractive project approved and running. Managing and supporting projects, represent technical expertise in the Mill Management team
As a maintenance team leader, you are responsible of staffing and personnel development: staffing plans, recruitments, onboarding, competence development in cooperation with HR. You are managing the right balance between internal and external resources.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced maintenance professional with +7 years of experience of working in leadership roles in mechanical forest, pulp, board or other process industry. You also have master’s degree in a relevant field. You have proven leadership capabilities with the ability to influence, inspire and motivate people. You have experience in project management and proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Your experience in change management and Lean leadership is seen as an asset.

As a person, you are proactive and driven to make things happen with a solution- oriented approach. You will get the team to achieve results together with a coaching and inclusive leadership style.
