Reporting to the National Manager – Claims, Specialty & Major Accounts, the successful candidate will manage a variety of complex, high-value Short Tail claims across Australia and New Zealand, and provide technical direction and coaching to the Short Tail Claims team.
They will develop and oversee claims resolution strategies and manage external service providers with a high degree of autonomy, while driving engagement with Allianz Commercial’s market-leading global claims community.
They will provide claims and industry trends feedback to underwriters, actuaries and our global Chief Claims Office, and support business development initiatives involving the Short Tail lines of business. Their ideas to improve our current ways of working will be very welcome.

  • Oversee the claims portfolio to ensure claims are handled efficiently, appropriately, and in compliance with regulations.
  • Report and present complex loss and claims information to stakeholders, maximize recoverable income through proactive reinsurance engagement, and manage external service providers.
  • Support business development initiatives and keep abreast of claims and industry trends.
