The Technical Manager is a key member of the site management team and is responsible for providing leadership to our Technical/Compliance team to effectively implement and monitor all food safety and quality programs. The Technical Manager will work closely with operations and MPI to ensure compliance with company, customer, regulatory and overseas market access requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Develop and champion a team culture that strives to achieve compliance, health and safety, and production targets
• Lead, mentor and build capacity of the Technical/Compliance Team consisting of auditors and quality assurance inspectors.
• Facilitate customer audits from a technical aspect and co-ordinate actions required to achieve an acceptable outcome.
• Identify issues that may affect compliance with food safety programmes and HACCP systems and work with relevant members of the site team and MPI to resolve them.
• Play a key role in implementing and promoting quality and continuous improvement initiatives, which can include helping with trials and investigations.
