Responsibilities:
As a Technical Officer – Traffic, you will be a WHS Specialist in QLD Traffic Management while providing general safety advice and support the delivery team to reduce injury and accidents arising from the workplace. Primary role will be working with the delivery team and traffic control organisations to traffic and pedestrian management.
- Developing and Ensuring that Traffic Management Plans & TGSs are in accordance with the relative standards for Queensland.
- Champion the implementation of the Traffic Management Plans
- Monitor compliance with the safety systems and procedures, in particular traffic management within the workplace and provide operational support to the project management team.
- Research and implement project traffic management strategies specific to the project scope of works.
- Investigating all traffic incidents and community concerns which relate to traffic issues
- Undertake a rigorous inspection and monitoring regime, schedule inspections to check effectiveness of controls against standards, guidelines and specifications.
- Maintain knowledge of applicable legislative requirements including government regulations, standards and policies.
- Review specific high risk planned works to be undertaken to ensure compliance with the TMP/TGS.
- Maintain TGS within the project GIS system
