Description:
Responsibilites:
- Prepare budgets in accordance with the organizations requirement and monitoring of agreed budgets set.
- Oversee the operation of the vessels, ensuring that they are operated safely, economically and efficiently maintained to a standard that allows them to fulfil operational requirements of either the organization or charter parties and/or other commercial contracts.
- Provide operational support required for the fleet and act as main liaison between customers, vessels and Superintendent/Engineer/Project Engineer.
- Ensure the Company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures are understood and implemented onboard all company vessels.
- Ensure fleet operations adhere to company policies, procedures and respective rules and regulations applicable to area of operations.
- Ensure shipboard records such as tow gear, stores and equipment/appliances inventory are maintained up to date.
- As a member of the Office Emergency Response Team.
- Assist and participate on incident investigations.
- Assist in preparation of QHSE audits/inspections including incident/accident investigation.
- Manage risk associated with vessel operations and maintenance.
- Monitor utilization of vessel and on/off-hire documentations.
- Maintain a fleet view and actively influence the Asset Management strategy and the implementation of planned maintenance changes across the fleet.
Requirements:
- Min. Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in business/maritime discipline.
- Min. 2 years of ship management experience.
- In depth knowledge of maritime regulations – ISM Code, SOLAS, Class Rules & applicable Statutory Legislation.
- Experience of budget management.
- Direct hands-on experience in the offshore and marine industry would be an added advantage.
- Sailing experience as Deck Officer/Engineer would be an added advantage.
- Good Communication, Analytical and Team Player.
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Proficient in relevant Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
