DEPARTMENT: MANUFACTURING

Mariposa Dairy is a leading manufacturer of award-winning cheeses based in Lindsay, Ontario. Our aim is to provide the highest quality cheese products in North America through the efforts of our skilled and valued team for the benefit of our customers and community.
We are currently seeking a full-time Technical Operator - Mixing reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor. Our organization is a growing and dynamic business and operates in our two facilities just off Hwy. 36 in Lindsay, Ontario.
Under the direction of the Manufacturing Supervisors and Lead Hand, this position will be responsible for following all procedures of Mariposa providing superior work output keeping in mind the utmost importance of Food Safety and Handling. Flexibility of hours is essential for this job, depending on daily production targets. Be on the production floor on time and ready for work each day.

Responsibilities:



    • Run mixers to manufacture cheese as required.

    • Fill out appropriate production reports as required in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
    • Conduct CCP checks in accordance with GMP’s
    • Assist in set up or tear down of mixing.
    • At the end of day be responsible for the cleaning up of equipment in preparation for sanitation.
    • Communicate with Supervisors, Lead Hands and other employees.
    • Follow HACCP procedures and schedule for routine cleaning
    • Maintain good communication between all team members.
    • To work in an efficient, timely and productive manner at all times.
    • Heavy lifting required, must be able to lift 25 kgs.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
    • Ensure that work area is always clean of debris and hazards and check work area for such hazards upon arrival and when departing each area of work
    • Keep ahead of portioning
    • Other duties as required
