Description:
An exciting opportunity to join our civil and structural engineering group to support our continued growth with the opportunity to work on and be exposed to some exciting projects and work alongside accomplished colleagues. The successful candidate will be given responsibility for a workload that is challenging, fast paced and highly variable.

QUALIFICATIONS
- BEng, MEng or MSc qualified in Civil / Structural Engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience in an engineering consultancy and be chartered with IStructE or ICE.
EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Experience / understanding of all stages of the design and construction process.
- Technical excellence in structural engineering skills within an industrial environment such as oil & gas, petrochemical, energy, manufacturing or defense.
- Experience writing clear and precise technical reports and comfortable presenting findings/recommendations.
- Can work to tight timescales and manage multiple projects at once.
- Competent with Microsoft Office.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Good verbal communication.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Full UK driving licence and the ability to attend client sites, as required.

Responsibilities:
- You will be working on the design and delivery of industrial projects utilising steel and/or reinforced concrete, including sub-structure, from concept to detailed design.
- You will provide technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the team and support in the successful delivery of assigned projects.
- You will have excellent communication skills liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
- You will play a key role in design risk management and mitigation.
- You will develop, or input to, project proposals and tender submissions.
- You will lead the preparation of technical deliverables for assigned projects ensuring compliance with our ISO 9001 quality systems.
- You will liaise with Directors, Business Development and Marketing teams to pursue business opportunities with new and existing clients.
- You will support project managers in the delivery of multidisciplinary projects to agreed budget and programme.
- You will support the technical development of junior staff.
- You will have the opportunity to develop new specialist technical skills in blast and gas resistant design (optional).
- You will have the opportunity to manage the delivery of projects (optional).
- You will have the opportunity to line manage junior staff (optional).
