Our team is expanding, and we are now looking for an experienced Compliance Manager to our QEHSC team (Quality, Environment, Health, Safety, Compliance and Sustainability). This exciting new opportunity will be part of our QEHSC team in supporting our fast-growing international business. Your task will be to ensure that the technical (product) compliance matters are conducted duly and professionally, so in this position you will be the subject matter expert of this field. In this important role you are expected to take responsibility of aligning and maintaining the Certification Bodies globally between our sites with the CB Scheme, provide support and assist the sales, product management, support, leadership, R&D and legal teams, and ensure a smooth and reliable compliance and communication between all production departments and partners inside and outside of Bluefors.
To succeed in this role, you have at least 5 years practical experience in an industrial environment, compliance regulations and legislation. You are a people person with excellent analytical skills and strong process understanding. You have a mindset for high-quality, and capability and willingness to work in an international growth company. Very hands-on attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to take initiative will help you succeed in your daily work. In this position you will be reporting to our Quality Director.

Main responsibilities:

  • Planning, managing and developing processes, instructions, and templates related to technical compliance and customers’ requirements, as well as following governmental regulations
  • Handling Listing Mark, ITA, and CB scheme application processes and safety critical components
  • Ensuring compliance with directives and standards (e.g. LVD, MD, WFD, WEEE, PED, EMC, RoHS, CE, NRTL, IEC/UL61010-1 and etc.)
  • Assisting the organization with technical compliance in contracts, tenders and possible other matters depending on the candidate’s experience and interests
  • Providing guidance, advice and training to key stakeholders on technical compliance matters
  • Monitor customer site Field Evaluations when necessary
  • Assist our Quality Director with ad hoc queries
  • Promote Compliance Culture within the business

What we expect from you

  • Practical experience (at least 5 years post-graduate) in an industrial environment, compliance regulations, and legislation
  • The ability to ensure product compliance within industry and legal standards in the scope of our product; mandatory requirement for end-user safety and brand integrity
  • Knowledge in reading and understanding technical documents, declarations, statements, and standards
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English, Finnish is beneficial
  • A degree in technology, business or administration, or similar technical education
  • Sound knowledge of compliance requirements, e.g. electrical safety and EMC
  • Prior experience related to CB Scheme, CE, ITA, NRTL and North America product certifications, co-operation with the Certification or Notified Body etc.
  • Responsibility for the label marking of the CB Scheme
  • Monitoring and keeping on top of regulatory changes globally
  • Familiarity with the certification test procedures
  • A people person with excellent interpersonal skills and experience of developing relationships at all levels across organizations and external stakeholders
