REQUIREMENTS

  • Five years + of experience in product management of hardware products from industries such as electric vehicles, electric vehicle charging, solar, batterystorage, or similar power related industries.
  • Experience working with other functional groups such as engineering, industrial design, user experience, and operations teams to refine Product Requirements.
  • Willingness to work hard and collaboratively within a small and dynamic Product Management team.
  • Passionate about ChargePoint and our mission.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong self-starting initiative with a sense of urgency.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) / Engineering degree strongly preferred

Responsibilities:

ChargePoint is seeking a Charging Station Sr. Product Manager who will help the group continue to conceive industry leading solutions for our electric vehicle charging station customers in the workplace, public, residential, and fleet segments in Europe and in the UK.

  • Write Product Requirement Documents for both Hardware and Embedded SW.
  • Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.
  • Work collaboratively with and support peer development / design groups on the technical requirements of ChargePoint hardware and embedded SW.
  • Maintain installed base and current products, including prioritizing sustaining activities, upgrades, running changes, defining configurations, and special SKU requests.
  • Support the successful launch of the products into the geographical regions and tracking product performance and making adjustments to ensure product success.
  • Support operations in planning production, safety stock, sales targets, and product transitions from inception to end-of-life.
  • Support marketing, sales and support in the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training, presentations, online marketing content and demos.
  • Document answers to customer technical questions that cannot be answered by sales staff or product support specialists using existing documentation. Support RFPs as required.
  • Coordinate early access / beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to program managers. Participate in product performance bench-marking activities.
  • Perform product demonstrations at trade shows, online seminars, and other events.
