SECTION III – EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Engineering in a related field (e.g. Mechanical, Electrical, Physics)
• Proven ability to work in a multidisciplinary product development environment, including customer facing interactions
• 3-5 years experience of project/product management in hardware development, preferably with experience in a wood products related industry
• Experience with embedded electronics, machine vision, electro-optical systems, and/or 3D measurement is an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey technical issues to a wide audience
• Proven creative problem solving and decision making skills
• Experience with Jira, MS Office, Google docs
• Familiarity with programming languages and data analysis (e.g. C++, C#, Python, Matlab)
  BC/CALIFORNIA ROLES ONLY | Salary Range: $92,105 - $105,000 - $119,700
  Expected Salary: Our typical hiring range will be +/- 10% of the midpoint listed above. Factors influencing this decision include qualifications and market conditions for the role.

Our products are used in a wide range of markets, ranging from micron level inspection of medical and electronic components to large multi-scanner solutions for the wood industry. As a Technical Product Manager (Hardware) you will be responsible for driving LMI’s growth through the development of new and successful products and features that meet our customers’ needs, including our specialized wood products.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about understanding our customers’ challenges and have prior experience in the wood industry that we serve. Strong communication skills and the ability to negotiate with stakeholders from numerous departments is a must! Experience with embedded electronics, machine vision, electro-optical systems, and/or 3D measurement is an asset.
